Joe French
Joe is the Hampshire Chess Association Secretary for Junior Chess. He plays for Basingstoke Chess Club, where almost all of his U14/U11/U9 training days are held. He also teaches chess at a number of schools in and around Basingstoke, including:

Jon Hunt
Jon joined Winchester College to teach Classics in 2002, and took charge of chess at the school in 2006. In 2008 he became the manager of the county U18/U16 sides, and in 2009 was elected Vice Chair of the Southampton Chess League.
 
The Winchester College Chess Club meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4.00 to 6.00, and strong Hampshire juniors of secondary school age are welcome to attend the club by arrangement. The club plays in Divisions 3 and 4 of the Southampton Chess League, and in 2009 finished 3rd in the National Schools Plate.
 
The Winchester College Primary Schools Chess Club runs during College termtime from September to May on Thursday afternoons from 4.00 to 5.00, and any Hampshire primary school pupil of any ability is welcome to attend. In the Spring Term the club runs a qualifying round for the UK Chess Challenge.
